Coordinating projects across a large mining organisation

Harmony Gold Mines needed an enterprise-grade Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution to give project managers, project teams and executives a structured way to manage projects and the portfolio as a whole.
At the time, implementing CA Clarity PPM at corporate level was a significant technology milestone in South Africa.

Ahmed was selected to take part in the implementation and support of CA Clarity PPM at Harmony Gold Mines, contributing to what was identified as South Africa’s first corporate CA Clarity implementation.

Configuration and implementation of the CA Clarity PPM platform.
System customisation
Tailored solutions developed in GEL, SQL and PL/SQL.
Portfolio management
Supporting project and portfolio management processes through the platform.
Enterprise integration
Working with existing business systems and supporting the SAP portal alongside the planning and implementation team.
Ongoing technical support
Responsibility for maintenance and support of existing Clarity implementations.

Supporting the reliability and continued operation of the platform.
